In “Blind Trust” we witness Richard MacDonald’s vision come full-circle. The feminine counterpart to “Blind Faith”, “Blind Courage, Third Life” embodies the call to live life with passion, faith, and courage. Such a life is shaped by vision: not the vision of the eyes, but the unlimited vision of the imagination. This idea is one that will, perhaps, define this era of our new millennium - a common rallying cry for achievement in the 21st century. "Blind Trust" includes both the Blind Courage and Blind Faith in one unified composition.
Warm, silvery, and rare, the platinum patina creates a play of light that heightens our sense of the underlying sculpted form. Contemporary in conception and limited to editions of only eight, this series reveals the essential beauty of the human form. As mercurial as human nature itself, light glances off the platinum creating dramatic shadows that seem to strengthen form and enhance the sense of life captured by the artist.
