Formed by two exquisitely defined figures, one the archetype of male perfection, and the other “reflecting” an image of the ideal female form, these two figures mirror each other, and intensify the viewer’s experience of their upward gaze and stretching gesture. In the case of Inspiratio the light that shines on the surface of the bronze figures slips over the forms, “gilding” them, and making every muscular curve a thing of beauty.
